Eyebrows makeup a difference

Concealor & Corrector? with Photos

So here we go everything you need to know about concealor and corrector I hate reading loooooonnngg posts but i tried my best to explain it well without talking about useless random things i hope it helps ...

Concealers are most concentrated/thicker and pigmented then foundation.it is used to cover, dark
spots, blemishes dark circles or any other marks... It is normally applied after primer, but before
foundation or after foundation depends on personal preference.

A corrector is different than concealer it neutralizes /balances out the area.for eg: if you have dark
under eye circles (black/blue), concealing a color on top of another will make you look cakey and
enhance the flaw.

1-Peach/orange-tones and covers blue/purple/black dark circles suitable for us desi skin tones.
2- Green tone corrector cancels out redness due to acne or other redness.it mostly suits lighter skin
tones.

How to choose the right shade of concealor?
Always use one shade lighter as compare to your original cheek color as it will brighten up the under eye
area. For extremely dark under eye circles(blue/black) use orange/peach corrector.

Point to remember: concealer goes on top of corrector.

Recommended concealer and corrector:
1-kryolan tv paint sticks -these are pigmented enough to cover dark circles or any other mark on your
face .. if your using concealor STICK u need to dilute it with luminizer to give you that WOW effect, just
put a tiny dot of liquid luminizer on stick and mix it well with ur finger to make a paste and pat on the
affected area shades to consider:FS38,FS36 can be used as concealer and foundation too and 508 as
corrector. I am just giving you a basic idea of colors to look for.

My 2nd favoutite is bobbi brown corrector and concealor.. I like the formula very moisturizing and
pigmented, this set has a concealor on one side and setting powder on the other side

Point to remember: never mix kryolan stick with water always use liquid luminizer.

Recommended luminizer: body shop liquid luminizer and face shop liquid luminizer

How to use:
Apply corrector first (optional-depends on ur skin condition) and apply concealer on top of
ur corrector in patting motion NEVER DRAG use ur finger, brush or sponge whatever u like … My favoutite way of applying is.. I pat the concealor (diluted with liquid iluminizer) with my finger first and blend it with a sponge in stippling motion and set it with a powder using brush or velur puff in pressing motion.
A tiny dot of illuminator
mix it with ur finger..can you see tiny sparkles

this is how the texture will be

blended into my skin.. see how radiant does it look

close up ..it really provides a nice radiant look

How to set the concealor?
Always set it with a translucent powder in a compact form or loose powder
form with the help of brush or velur puff using a pressing motion. You can use any good translucent
powder however my favourites are below

Recommended setting powders

1-Bobbi brown setting powder that comes in a concealor set ( pic is above)
2-yardley translucent powder ( yes you read it right.. expensive is not always good :p)
3-chanel poudre universelle libre loose powder (I have heard good things about this product but never tried by myself)
4-clinique loose powder (heard good things about this product but never tried by myself)
5-ben nye banana powder (heard good things about this product but never tried by myself)
this is what i use

Having trouble dealing with concealer lines?
1- just Avoid heavy layer of concealer.
2- Use good amount of powder to seal the area.

My little secret: don’t know how much powder is too much?? When u r done powdering the under eye area just run you brush over the area if it feels smooth means u have done a perfect job if it
feels rough that’s when u know it needs more :)

Fewww long post.. but I hope u understood the concept ..just practice practice and practice
Any questions/ suggestions? Put a comment below or email me I will be happy to hear from my
readers J

How to determine your skin undertone

Skin tones are often confused for undertones, but they are not the same thingAn undertone is the color that lies beneath the skin. You can have a cool, warm, or neutral undertone.

Check your veins
Green veins à warm UT
Blue veins à cool UT
Neutral

Other way is to think which color suits u the most Gold is for Warm UT and silver is for cool UT

 “cool” undertone:
Those with cool undertones will notice their skin has a pink, red, or blue tinge to it.
• If the veins on your wrist are blue or purple
• If silver jewelry suits your skin more than gold
• When you look at your skin in the sun, it appears blue-ish

Points to remember >“neutral” undertone:
If you have neutral undertones, your skin is neither pink/red/blue nor yellow/gold/peach, but somewhere in between.
• The veins on your wrist are blue-green
• Both gold and silver jewelry flatter your skin
• When you look at your skin in the sun, it appears greenish
Points to remember > “warm” undertone:
Those with warm undertones will notice their skin has a yellow, gold, or peach tinge to it.
• The veins on your wrist are slightly green or olive
• Gold jewelry flatters your skin more than silver
• When you look at your skin in the sun, it appears yellowish

Below pics are taken from the web ..Hope it helps :)

All about primers

2nd Step

You know your skin type now it will be easier for you to choose primer..incase u are unsure about your skin type read here skin types

PrimerWhat is it??
It Acts as a barrier to make your makeup last.

Function: It smoothest the skin surface and wrinkles (fine lines), doesn’t clog pores and reduces shine.

Types of primers > FACE

1-Silicon/tayflon: for terrible problematic skin and large pores
*Quick tip: silicon based primers will dry as powders

Skin types

I thought why not start from the beginning to completely understand the concept of makeup and how
to choose the right formula of foundation/powde & blush type.. It all depends what skin type/tone are
you? Once you the basics you can easily choose whatever formula and coverage u like …
I am starting the Basics series..Hope u all learn something…if you have any question just put on a
comment box below

<3 I have normal to dry skin and my skin loves loreal hydra fresh cream(normal to dry) and rose hip oil.
Will do a review of these later

*Note I am not a skin specialist this is what I have learnt from my Makeup teacher and yes a little help
from the internet :)

SKIN GUIDE SERIES > choosing right foundation/ formula according to your skin type

Normal skin- is not too dry and not too oily.

1-Looks smooth and even textured
2-The colour is even
3-It feels neither greasy nor dry
4-Normal pore size/barely visible
5-It is soft and supple
6-It has a high degree of elasticity
7-No severe sensitivity

Tips

1.Most cleansers will suit you.
2.Use a light water-based moisturizer.
3. Either an oil-based or water-based cleanser will be suitable.

Dry Skin:Dry skin feels tight, especially after cleansing. Tendency towards fine wrinkles, flaking and red patches.

skin may appear ashy or dull from dead skin buildup

1-Dull or rough looking complexion
2-May appear flaky in places
3-No sign of oil on the skin
4-Small pore size, almost invisible pores
5-Feels tight
6-prone to premature wrinkling
7-Fine lines appear prematurely particularly round the eyes

Tips

1. It is very important to moisturize with a hydrating cream. Moisturizers with rich and creamy
formulas will also help prevent cracking and any flakiness you may have.Choose a heavy oil
 based moisturizer that has antioxidant.
2. Be sure to also pick a creamy moisturising cleanser to prevent the stripping of natural oils in
 your skin.
3. Avoid any products that are alcohol based as this will dry your skin out even more

Combination skin-A combination skin type can be dry or normal in some areas and oily in others, such as the T-zone (nose, forehead, and chin).

1-more than one skin type.. Dry, sensitive or normal elsewhere
2-Oily T zone
3-Large pores (in some areas)
4-Blackheads and shiny

Tips

1. Use a moisturizer suited to your combination skin type.
2. Cleanser which is designed for your skin type.

Oily Skin

1-Enlarged pores
2-Dull or shiny, thick texture
3-Blackheads, pimples, or other blemishes
4-Sallow in colour
5-Excess oil production
6-Prone to spots and blemishes

Tips

1. Oily skin still needs to be moisturised! Be sure to use a light or an oil-free, water based
moisturizer
2. Use noncomedogenic products to avoid clogging your pores (always check labels)
3. Always try to use oil-free products.

Sensitive Skin-Sensitive, intolerant skin reacts more than normal skin, in fact it is hyperactive. It experiences itching.

1-Pale in colour
2-Pores barely visible
3-Easily irritated
4-Redness
5-Itching
6-Burning
8-Dryness

Tips

1-pick mild soaps and moisturizing cleansers that are hypoallergenic and non-comedogenic,
meaning they won’t clog pores, so they shouldn't trigger acne or another reaction
2-It's important to keep sensitive skin moisturized, but you have to be careful about products that
are too heavy avoid fragrant moisturizer. Look for natural ingredients such as Aloevera or chamomile
3-Use sunsreen to prevent skin damage

Mature Skin

As the skin ages, it loses its natural firmness and elasticity. With new skin cells taking longer to
regenerate, and dead skin cells building up faster, mature skin types need more specialized skin care
products to stimulate collagen production, exfoliate dead skin cells and lighten age spots to help skin
appear more hydrated and luminous. It is absolutely necessary to moisturize and nourish the skin.

1- Skin often appears dull and has an uneven tone
2- Presence of fine lines and wrinkles.
3- Visibly thin and dry complexion

Tips

1- exfoliate > moisturize and protect
2-Use good cleansers which include AHAs (“alpha hydroxy acids”) and BHAs (“beta hydroxy acids”)
to combat wrinkles.
3-Use moisturizer which is designed especially for your skin needs

A lot of people think that the only way to look good and fashionable is to purchase expensive materials. WRONG! Whether you buy clothes from an expensive store or not, it all depends on YOU. It is your job to be creative with clothes; price does NOT matter, what matters are the efforts and the sense-of-fashion that you are going to put on it.

It is your money, anyways. So you can totally spend it all you want, but isn't great to save money too :)  anyway welcome to my world
